How do you know if your crankshaft sensor is in the correct spot?

I was told it needs to be in number one firing position also to count the marks on the balancer. I'm just confused if you could help me out be great, I put a new timing chain and guides in but now it won't start. I read your article on the security light it turns off but still won't start. it cranks and it cranks with the struggle but that's about it.

You don't need to have the crankshaft sensor in a particular position, just install it and the computer will do the rest. Can you upload a short video of the engine cranking over that way I can tell if the timing marks are correct? I can tell by listening to it. Here are the instructions on how to install the sensor so you can see for yourself. If the security light goes out, then it is not enabled. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
