Engine cranks will not start

Hi,

I attached three pics below. Pic 1 shows the cam sensor. Pics 2 and 3 show where the wires from the sensor end. All three go to the PCM.

Is this what you needed?

Yes, I’m going to check continuity from the sensor to the PCM. The car is been sitting at my cottage so I can only work on it on weekends. I replace the cam sensor in the PCM I’m not sure why on my scanner it says no cam. Maybe it’s a wire I’ll find out and let you know the stupid sensors underneath the power steering pump so it’s a lot of work to take that off just a check from that end. Is there a magnet or something on the cam gear that could fall off? I had an older Buick do that but it would still start and run. The system won’t start without a cam signal would it?

The sensor is used by the computer for fuel injection timing. As far as a magnet, yes, but I don't see how it would fall off.

If you look at the attached pic, it shows what each wire is used for. Note: Low reference should show continuity to ground. I'm adding them in the event you want to check.
