Cranks over but no start

Cranks but no spark or fuel.

Tried to read code turn on key and code read says to turn on the key and the key is on already.

I suspect we have one of two issues. Either the theft system is active not allowing the spark and fuel or the ECM is the issue. The ECM may be the issue since it will not recognize the key being turned on but this may also be a scan tool issue. Have you used this scan tool on this vehicle before?

Here is all the info on the theft system. Review this and let's make sure we don't have an active system and then we can go from there. Thanks

Yes, I used the scan tool but it was one for Chevrolet and I didn't know.

Okay. So if we can get codes that would be helpful but did you notice if the theft light was on or not?

No the theft light wasn't and I can't get the codes.

Okay. So if the theft system is not on and you can't get codes then we have to try and solve the fuel or spark issue and hope that when we fix one it fixes the other.

So let's go to the distributor and see if you are getting the signal from the ECM. My guess is that you are not. If you are not, then we need to inspect the cam shaft sensor. I attached the testing for that so let's see what turns up and go from there.

We get fuel once in awhile but no spark.

Okay. So then I suspect we have two issues. I am not sure how you get fuel once in a while other then a pump issue so let's start with that and check fuel pressure. Please get the PSI and let me know what that number is and we can go from there.
