Cranks but no spark

Cranks, no spark at plugs, no power at coil pack. Was running until it had run out of fuel. Now has fuel with 50psi at fuel bar and compression; still no spark. Tried a different coil pack but no change. Other activity on vehicle was changing a clock-spring due to horn going off even with nobody near vehicle!

Vehicle has no codes from me disconnecting battery multiple times. I have test light, multi-meter and hand tools.

Hello,

This could be a problem with your vehicle's Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP). Your vehicle's Power-train Control Module (PCM) or "computer" uses the signal from the CKP to signal the fuel injectors and the spark plugs when to fire. Without this signal your vehicle will not start. In the diagrams down below I have included a description of your vehicle's CKP and instructions for the removal and installation of it. Please go through these guides and get back to us with how everything turns out.

I have since found there is an intermittent broken wire in the harness at the front of the vehicle, next to the radiator on driver's side. I shifted the harness and the van tried to start and had spark! Now the drudgery of going through the harness to test which wire(s) are bad; thinking of noting color-combos of wires to the camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, EGR sensor and coil pack to narrow down the number of wires to check in this 1.5" bundle of wires. Not that easy with a tedious chore ahead of me but at least I located the possible issue!
