Crank shaft sensor

Used a plug in tester that suggests changing the crank shaft sensor.

I've done this and the car is still only cranking and not firing up.

Would the car have two sensors that look identical and I have changed the wrong one?

I've also managed to have the car fire up briefly when spraying starter into air intake.
So I presume the fuel is just not getting were it needs to be. help!

Hi,

If you are getting it to fire with starter fluid then you are correct you have a fuel issue and not a crank sensor issue. You may have had a crank issue but it would not fire the spark plugs if the crank was no good. I would suggest locating your fuel pump fuse and relay and starting there.

Then you will want to and make sure you have power at the fuel pump. If this is all there, then most likely you need a fuel pump.

Unfortunately we don't have a service manual for your vehicle because we are located in the USA and this vehicle is not produced or imported here so we don't have any specific info. However, the principle is the same.
