Crank sensor location

The crank sensor is bolted into the side of the engine block low and to the rear on the right side of the engine not anywhere near the cam position sensors. Item 8 in the image. What is the code you have?

hi i need to know were is located the crankshaft position-camshaft position correlation. thank you

The crankshaft sensor is on the lower portion of the engine block, RH side. The camshaft sensors(4) are in the front of the cylinder heads. There are four sensors, and four actuator solenoids for the camshaft timing actuators. I am assuming that your query comes from first a check engine light, and a trouble code that relates to the correlation. Most often times it is a result of camshaft drive chains having some stretch. I believe there is a bulletin out also that involves the reluctor on the crankshaft rotating some and causing timing faults. Seen a couple crankshaft issues, and have heard of some sensor issues. Most often it is chains that are needed. Let me know if you want some more info.

What is the cost for a crankshaft position sensor part? Also I am wondering if I can replace it myself?

Yes the price for the sensor is about $52.00 bucks from Amazon. It is not too bad replacing the sensor yourself but you will need to get under the car.

Good day , Is there more than 2 cam shaft positions sensors on my 2007 srx. Do you recomend replacing the upper manifold gasket when replacing the ignition coils & spark plugs.

There are 4 camshaft sensors and 4 camshaft actuator solenoids however what is the issue you have? If it's a cam crank correlation code like the other poster, the code shows the crank and cam sensors are fine, that code is a bad code on the early 3.6 and points to the timing chains being stretched and needing replacement.
I also wouldn't replace the coils unless you have misfire codes. The plugs yes but unless the coils are causing issues I would keep them. Replace the intake gaskets, they are not reusable.
