Car was running with a rough idle, stalling sometimes at stoplights. So, I would put it in neutral and give it a rev until it turned green, put in drive and go. If stopped and left it drive, it would stall. Week later I noticed big time gas leak in the line so fixed that and then it started to run slow, with very minimal power to get to highway speeds. Cadillac converter was plugged up (red hot pipe) fixed that and it took away my rough idle problem. Now, I put it into drive or reverse and it immediately stalls out. Help! Also, cannot find the location of the crank position control sensor.

It sounds like you have a vacuum leak, or the IAC motor needs to be replaced, do you have any codes? Please go over this guide to help gather any that are stored:

Here is a guide to go over as well, I have included the crankshaft position sensor location in the images below:

Rear Of Engine, below intake manifold, below and wired to Direct Ignition System (DIS) module. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.

Thank you! I tried to get the codes by flashes but it keeps giving me 12. (System running normal). I do have a MAP sensor I pulled off a 1993 cavalier, as they are very similar engines, the 88 Corsica is hard to find any parts for. I cleaned the eps valve last night, it was full of crusted black residue, almost to the point is was clogged. I'm diving into the crank shaft sensor right now, now that I know where it's located. Thank you for saving me time again, it's a hard place to find when you only got a jack and some wood.
