Crank no start no codes?

No codes . Messing around crank sensor clip is broken i cleaned it taped it secure. Cleaned map and throttle body sensor and cleaned throttle. I had cleaned the crank sensor 3 wire connection last , at each cleaning g engine would not crank turn over good . After the cps connect cleaning it started and idle a long time then shut down ot did crank and I inked it for awhile then shut off next day again no start.also after cleaning m as p and throttle and tps. I had s friend help with checking spark , no spark. Then it ran after I cleaned and secured c p s
Its the crank sensor isn't it .
I cant get to it , it has some kindve plate covering the area what do I do.

Hi:

Based on your description, my first guess is the crankshaft position sensor (CKP). If it fails, you won't have spark. Also, when they begin to fail, they are adversely affected by heat. Do me a favor. Take a look through this link and let us know if it mirrors what you are experiencing.

I suspect it has to do with the sensor. If the retainer clip is damaged, it needs to be replaced.

Cranks and has started , sat for a year for a pinion, bearings etc.shoted front drive shaft. Note all wheel drive.drove 80 miles at 55mph, has stiff off road suspension and 44 inch tires , minus wheel wells. Easy to roll under to work on.throttle has been removed and returned , tps and map removed and cleaned, looked good. The hose off air intake going to valve covers , dont know what part it attached to was completely clogged. Cleaned out, started idled, then shut down. Looks like some rat bites in some hoses, kinda dirty even after low pressure water cleaning.rat bites dont look all the way through. CPS 3 wire connection lock is broken, I unplugged and plugged it cranked idle, then shut down, crank only now. No spark in between no crank. Unplugged and plugged cps , crank no start. Still no check engine codes except mentioned above. Cant see cps plate underneath.
I cant do much, I have cancer JEEPS on gravel, I put plywood down and have a roller. My arms aren't stronger enough to hold them up under , cant see where the sensor enters. Could it be something else and why why why no codes. No check engine. You guys do great work havent seen such good advise ever on any other appliances. Thsnk you, ,im your best live ad.

The rats can seat wiring so I would start by checking all harnesses, next, let see if you have spark while cranking and if so see if the engine will run on starting fluid. Please go over this video to see what to do next, it goes over everything we need to start fixing the problem.

I have seen the crankshaft angle sensor go out on these cars, here is the location in case you need it which is on the right side of the engine at the bellhousing of the transmission. Check out the images (below). Please upload an image or a short video in your response, so I can see what's going on. Ken

Thank all that have helped. It cranked yesterday. So I went ahead and replaced the cranksensor. Cranks every day now.
Now another issue. Im hearing while idling
The rpms go slightly up and down continuously.. Not driving it , i have wiring issues with accessories put on by former owner. Replacing all his rainbow , unorganized, no system of consistant wiring. With consistency.
