Crank no start issue after running the car out of gas?

Okay, this is the second time she has run the car out of gas. so, I put some gas in the car and drove it to the gas station and put $20.00 of gas started it up and went down the road about 200 yards and it started cutting back and cut off and will not start back. I checked fuses all good, checked fuel rail, and have no pressure on the check valve. Where should I go from there?

The fuel pump does not like running dry, FYI. I would say the fuel pump has gone out, but to be sure can you hear the fuel pump kick for about 5 seconds when you turn the key on and not crank the engine over? If not, I would check the fuses and run the codes, you may have a fuel pump control module that is out.
