Crank no start

Since the no fuel issue happened after replacement of the regulator, I need you to recheck your work. Something is causing the issue whether it be a missing o-ring, assembly incorrect. I attached an exploded picture of the component. Take a look at it and confirm everything was reinstalled correctly. If it is dropping the pressure too low, it will not start. Pay attention to make sure the fuel pump is turning on.

Had to get another tube for vacuum could that be the problem due being not the same shape?

If there is a leak because of design, it could be the problem.

Could there be a issue with plugs or injectors? As mentioned car had been sitting for a while.

Yes, anything can be possible. Here is a little trick. See if the engine starts for a couple seconds using starting fluid. If it does, then it is a fuel related issue. If it does not at least try to start, then there is a good chance it is ignition related. As far as the injectors, most certainly they can prevent the engine from running. However, all of them to fail at the same time would be odd.
