My car is set up for English or French only. I was driving and, on my dash, German came up then back to English. The next day I had a timing chain type noise and on my OBD tester came up with codes of P0011, P0016, P0089, P2138 and P228D. Would this be a timing chain or computer issue??

The diagnostic trouble codes you mentioned indicate several potential issues with your vehicle. While it's difficult to provide a definitive diagnosis without further inspection, I can give you some insights into the possible causes associated with these codes:

P0011 and P0016: These codes are related to the camshaft position sensor

P0089: This code indicates a problem with the fuel pressure regulator.

P2138: This code relates to the throttle/pedal position sensor/switch.

P228D: This code is related to the fuel pressure regulator control performance.
