Replace spark plugs? What Type do I get?

Pulling up the spark plug product number by VIN, on dealer and GM parts sites gives me A.C. Delco 41-110, and a circle with a line through for availability. Pulling it up by make, model, 8th digit of VIN etc., gives AC Delco 41-162, which are quite a bit shorter. Which is correct?

AC Delco site also shows the 41-162 Iridium plug for the 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche, 5.3L V8 VIN: J.

I compared the two, the 110 is about 3/8 of an inch longer from the seat to the electrode. 41-110 is what was in the truck besides on the GM websites.

Hello, I'm Danny.

The correct plug is GM part number #12571164 or AC Delco part number #41-985 The gap is supposed to be 0.040 In (1.02mm). I've also attached a tutorial showing how to change your spark plugs.

How often do you change the spark plug wires on an Avalanche?

I believe the manufacturer says the OEM ones are good for 100K. However, that usually isn't the case. I would recommend aprox every 50K. If you still have the owner's manual, check it for their recommendations too.

just want to make sure new wires are not numbered according to cylinder and there was no special order to put them on?

No, just replace as you take them off. Each coil is on there designated cylinder and wires are too short to really put anywhere else. You will need to transfer the aluminum sleeve over to the new wires.
