The radiator fan comes on much more often than any car I have ever owned (lots).
I have put a new thermostat in, a new fan temperature switch, a new radiator and flushed out the system.
Yet, if I drive up a quarter mile hill the fan comes on.
No water is lost and the temperature gauge never goes past half way.
Nearly every time I stop at lights, the fan comes on.
Is it because it is an automatic perhaps?
It is very annoying and worrying.
Thanks, Frank

Hello,

It sounds like it can be one of two things, the first is the temperature sensor is off telling the computer the engine is hot or you might have a blown head gasket causing the engine to run hotter. Here is a guide to confirm the head gasket issue:

If that checks out here is the location of the temperature sensor so you can replace it.

Here is a guide that will show you what you are in for when changing it:

Please let us know what happens, we are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken
