Cooling fan blowing too loud?

Hi,

That is the coolant temperature sensor in pic 2. What colors are the wires in the harness you found?

The radiator outlet coolant temperature sensor is used by the DME to operate the cooling fans. The wiring should go to the DME. What colors are the wires in the harness/connector you have? See if they match the ones in the pic below.

They are black and yellow, the wires on this car are not good. When I connect the piece in, I don’t see anywhere to connect the wires, they possibly are gone or out of place (I found the connector in the air filter). I need a wiring diagram for the whole car honestly, I can show you what I am talking about in the morning.

If you go to the DME, is there anything cut? Also, I would be happy to provide the schematics I have, but I need to narrow things down. Otherwise, I will be attaching pics for a week. LOL

Tell me if there is a specific circuit you want to focus on. For example, do you need the powertrain management schematics or the transmission, ABS, and so on?

I can give you a run down from what I’ve seen so far, I will definitely need to visually see it because I’m novice. But I will need to see headlight schematics, that connector for the outlet sensor, and also o2 electrical connections.

I honestly couldn’t tell you if anything looks cut or not, there are a bunch of wires there, you want me to take it out and show you?

This is my dme and the others are the loose wires I’m thinking some terminals are missing.

Pic 2 is the tire pressure monitor module. I'm not sure what I'm looking at in pic 3. I can only see a harness.

As far as the schematics, pics 1 and 2 are the headlamp schematics for the non-xenon lamps. Pics 3 and 4 are with the xenon system. Pics 5 and 6 are the adaptive front headlamp circuit.

Pics 7 and 8 are for the oxygen sensors. I highlighted all wiring related to the 4 different O2 sensors.

Thank you, one last question. If I have a wire and it just won’t reach, what will I need to do?

Hi,

If you have a wire that won't reach, you will need to add to it. When I do this, first I make sure to get wiring of the same size or gauge. Then, I remove approximately 1/2" of insulation on each wire and slide shrink wrap over the wires. I then solder the two wires together, making sure they are tight and have a solid connection. Once that is done, slide the shrink wrap over the repair and heat it with a heat gun.

Based on its location and function, often times I will wrap electrical tape around the shrink wrap as well to provide more insulation to the repair.
