coolant temperature sensor code

OBD reader shows code for coolant temperature sensor. when connected if it will start it runs badly. disconnected it runs pretty good after it warms up for the most part. this code comes directly after replacing exhaust manifold, catalytic converter, and both oxygen sensors.
