Where is the coolant temperature sensor located?

Temperature gauge shows cold all the time, has a message saying steering assist reduced, and checking online it looks like I need to replace sensor, but need to find location and possible diagram for it, it is a 2.5 engine.

Hello,

You might have a thermostat that is stuck open FYI. Here is the location of the engine coolant temperature sensor which is near the top of the engine in the front where the cooling hoses converge. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
