Coolant temperature sensor

Okay. When there are temperature sensor codes or any sensor code? there are normally three things that it could be, the sensor, wiring, or the control module.

P0118 code, put a new coolant temperature sensor in but the radiator fans come on as soon as I turn on car. Car getting hot with new sensor I put in,before it wouldn’t do that. changed out the old sensor because it was broken.

Just so I understand this, you don't have that code now? That code is why you replaced the sensor and now the temp sits where it is in the picture and the cooling fans come on immediately even on a cold engine?

If so, you have a faulty sensor. The fans are coming on immediately because that sensor is telling the PCM that the engine is hotter then it is. However, if the engine is actually running at that temp then we need to look into the cooling system however, I suspect it is the sensor.
