Coolant spillage from overflow

This is almost always caused by a restriction in the system somewhere. The best way to find it is to use a laser temp meter and check around the engine and cooling hoses and radiator looking for hot spots. The hot spot or dramatic drop in temp is the blockage or restriction.

Unfortunately we don't have a manual for this vehicle so I am not able to give you specifics but the idea is the same no matter the engine.

Thank you. So I got the car at the mechanic last week and he proposed to replaced the cap which is not the problem. So he said to bring it back if problem still occurs. Also want to mention that car is getting hot inside when I'm driving a lot without put on the heater. Furthermore from what I read from your reviews, can this be a blown gasket problem as well?

Okay. That is good news that the mechanic said to bring it back. I would take him up on that. Plus you read my mind on the next step if we didn't find a restriction.

So I got the update and result from the mechanic. In fact it's good news cause he fix the car and the problem was a leak on the thermostat housing rubber. Leak was very small when the car standing or idling but when driving with all the pressure and compression it was more intense. Car is fix now and I must collect it on Monday.
Just glad that it was not a massive or more serious thing.

That is great news. I bet what was happening that didn't make it obvious was the leak was small enough that it was only allowing a small amount of coolant out but was pulling in air when the thermostat opened. This is what was causing the coolant to push out because air was taking the place of the coolant so the coolant had to go somewhere as there is only so much space in there so it pushed it out.

Awesome to be back. So today I need some advice again. Remember my car Corsa Opc 1.6 turbo 2013. So today i want to require about a sound of water in front of my dashboard. Upon investigation I hear it's a airlock on the heater core. Water sound it's only there for about a couple of minutes after starting then goes away. Is this like something I need to to worry to much and or what can be the problem??
