Coolant reservoir is leaking from the bottom of it, did not see any holes in the tank or the hoses. When I take the cap off it leaks and when I start the car it leaks.

Good afternoon.

Did the car overheat?

You may have a bad cap. Check and see if the rubber is damaged in the cap.

Does the tank leak with the cap on?

Is this where it is leaking?

It leaks with the cap on also but not bad as when the cap is off or the car started. It did get hot when it started leaking suddenly. I think it may be coming from the square looking hole that is in the bottom of the tank, but not completely sure.

I would start with a radiator cap. Beyond that you will need to do a pressure test to find the exact failure.

I got a new cap and put it on and it is still leaking when I start the car. The coolant in it that was left overnight was still in the tank this morning.

Okay, you need to rent a pressure tester and pressure test the system to find the leak.

It could be a hose, switch or the tank itself.
