Stop engine/coolant to hot message came on, temperature reached 216°. I pulled off road for the night, the next morning I put water/anti-freeze in car, it was driving fine for about twenty miles on freeway, then it got hot again and smelled like burning rubber was coming from the area directly in front of driver/left side. There is what looks like motor oil, lightly spraying out of capped off hose? Tried to drive it and when I put it in reverse and stepped on gas, it would not move at all.

The answer is my transmission went out. I completely lost drive/forth gear on the freeway and had to use emergency lane and drive in third gear to get to next exit. This transmission has been a problem since the day it was dropped in at the factory!

it may have overheated to the point where it partially burned a gasket/hose causing the oil leak it may be from oil cooler is you have one. Are you sure it isn't 260 degrees as 210 is normal temperature for these engines. Looks like you will need a transmission overhaul as well though. they can be rebuilt. we have no diagrams of hoses, etc. also look for an oil leak.
