coolant mixing up with transmission oil

Even if he replaced the radiator, the entire cooling system would have to have been flushed out as well as the transmission and torque convertor in order to get all of that coolant/transmission fluid out of both.
If that was done already then perhaps the radiator that was installed either was not new and that has a busted transmission oil cooler or the new one busted.

Today I was able to flush both the radiator, the engine wall and the gear, while doing that I traced the lines of both coolant and transmission lubricant.

Along the line I discovered that my car has a transmission cooler mounted on the gearbox, similar to that of the radiator. I requested my mechanic to unmount it and check if we can diagnosis where the leakage is from, but discovered the component was sealed and he had to by-pass the component pending when me get a replacement next week.


After we took the said component off and drained the transmission oil and replaced it after flushing the gear box twice the pinkish color is not there anymore and the coolant is not mixing with lubricant in the gear box anymore.

Hope it will not be harmful to drive the car for too long without the transmission cooler component.

Just do not tow anything until you put it back on.

The repair shops are closed until Thursday. can I drive the car around short distances like a mile or two pending when it is replaced?

Would like to know why black carbon like sludge mixed with the fluid that drops from the exhaust pipe of my Toyota 4runner 2000 model every morning each time I try to run the engine every morning its been on for two weeks now, after my mechanic advice I top the engine lubricant with an extra oil treatment after changing the lubricant and an oil treatment was added while the engine lub was changed, bearly a week before Itook the car on a 10hours drive to the country side

Though there isn't any black smoke emission from mine eexhaust pipe

What was the brand name of this oil treatment and how much was added and for how long?

ABRO is the brand of the oil treatment and i added an additional can less than a week after an oil change was done which an oil treatment was added during the change

Which one of these abros's and so in total you had 2 cans in there all at once, or drained the motor oil after the first can and added a second can?
What size cans also?
May I ask what were you trying to accomplish with these oil additives?

Good morning, just saw your message now, I used the one with part no AB- 500, I was advised by my mechanic to add it since I was embarking on a 10 hour drive and wasn't traveling immediately after my routen service, a week before time.


Would also like to know if there are any side effect of using the wrong transmission oil as the recommended oil for my transmission is dexron II/III but I have been using Toyota T IV in the past two years now.

I would think that perhaps it's that oil additive doing whatever it is that it does and that is the end result. The left over from what it does has to go somewhere, it isn't going to just disappear, so the logical place for it to go is either out the tailpipe or perhaps doing another oil change and drain that stuff out. Then decide if you want to add any more additive this time or not.
I am reading that the transaxles AW6A-EL, AW6AX-EL take atf type Mazda Genuine JWS3309.
If you are not experiencing any transmission problems, I don't think you have damaged anything. As far as the leaking cooler inside the radiator, they usually get damaged as a result of rust in the cooling system either by running plain water or too weak of a coolant mixture or never changing the coolant mixture.
You should though go with whatever the atf fluid recommendation is.
