Coolant leaking from distribution plate under intake

Just to jump in, by distribution plate that you are talking about, I assume you mean the part that I circled below. If that is the case then this is considered the lower manifold that takes the air from the upper manifold and distributes it to the cylinders. As for using silicone, if one of these gaskets on either side is currently silicone then that is your issue. These need to be the hard gaskets that are shown on the upper and lower manifolds.

Thank ya'll for the time and the help. I was not able to upload a picture for some reason, however i did manage to figure things out and get the truck running good with no leaks! And yes, you would think it would have a lower intake but it only has the big, upper plastic intake and below that it has emissions components, and below that it has an aluminum plate that bolts directly to the block and covers a large void in the block. There is a water pipe containing an o-ring on each end that stabs in the back side of the water pump i'm guessing and the other end stabs into the front of the plate, the plate spreads the coolant throughout the void and distributes it throughout the engine. There is no gasket, only a bead of silicone between two machined surfaces. Beware of the exhaust emissions tubes going to the SAIP as they are brittle and will break. Delete kits are available to accommodate that issue.
