Coolant leak: possible heating core problem

I noticed my coolant leaking yesterday and there was a white smoke in my car also the passenger floor was damp. Do you think it is definitely a heater core problem if so what is a quote of how much to replace it? If it could be something else how much would that be? Thank you!
