Leaking coolant fast now just after engine is turned off. Started as a slower drip. I can see where it’s coming out but I don’t know what part of the car this is. It’s bottom left if facing the car. Almost looks like coolant coming from a large black colored square box between the seam where a lid would sit on a box. It’s not the radiator, or hoses, and doesn’t appear to be water pump. Car hadn’t overheated yet, I have a short video too. Thanks for any info. I’m going to get this to a shop but wondered if anyone had an idea. I’m not seeing white tailpipe smoke and the oil and coolant look like they should.

Can you try to repost the video or pictures? They didn't post. This will really help get us on the same page.

Lets get the video and go from there. Thanks

Thanks for using this site and welcome since this is the first time.

This appears to be running down the lip of the oil pan which means it is originating from higher up. The most likely cause of this is the water pump gasket is leaking.

Take a look at the diagrams and it will show that the pump is just over the crank pulley and if the gasket is leaking it would run down the block and can run down the oil pan as you are seeing.

The best way to find out for sure is to pressure test the system and look for the actual point at which the coolant is coming out. Again, I would think the water pump is the cause of this.

Take a look at this info and we can go from there. Thanks

I wanted to thank you for taking the time to reply. Unfortunately, this email wound up in my spam and I never saw it until now. Your first reply didn’t go to my spam. Anyway, you were exactly right. The water pump was bad, I can fix some items on this truck but that isn’t for me so I just had a shop do it. Again, thanks for taking your time .

You are more then welcome. Yeah, I had that happening as well. Not sure what happened but I think the site was classified differently for a while that was causing the email providers to think it was spam mail.

I think it is straightened out now as they are coming back to my inbox. Thanks for updating us and using 2CarPros.
