Coolant leak

Looks like it's coming out of a freeze plug

Has the freeze plug popped out of it's hole?

There is literally nothing there, just an open hole. I have looked and looked but can't find any info on a freeze plug for the Northstar any idea what size plug I need?

I know this is a stupid question

Is this an emergency?

Do you have time to do a permanent take stuff apart and install a new one?

Would a temporary fix (do it right soon) work for the present time?

If you can get a hand and a wrench in there

Can really tighten this up good

Can get the right size

I was looking at these earlier the only problem is that when I plug in my car info to find a size it doesn't produce any results. I suppose I could just measure the hole and buy accordingly?

It's the back plate and rubber that must fit in the hole

The closer, the better

If it's hard to measure

You might use your imagination and try bottle/ jug caps/ sockets (my favorite)/ anything round that fits the hole that could be measured once removed

When you install these

Sometimes it's ezier to sorta "pre-tighten" it so that it "drags" the hole as it enters

Since there is no way to "back-hold" the assembly, it will spin if installed loosely

The friction from the "drag" will keep it from spinning as you continue to tighten
