Removing bottom 4 bolts on coolant crossover housing. On front back bolt by transmission broke bolt flush with block coming out. I can only use a wrench on it. The car is not in a place to remove motor, transmission or both I need a way to get it out. The coolant crossover housing gaskets was leaking.

Good morning,

Can you post some pictures of what you see so I can see what you are working on?

Someone ask if I tried welding a bolt or nut to it. Would that possible work or waste of time or make a bigger mess?

In the position it is located, no, it will not work. You have to work with what you have. Drill a small hole in the bolt and then drill larger to 1/4 inch.
