I've had my vehicle for several years without much trouble. It's been a fair-weather vehicle with just a bikini top on it. I'm converting it into an all-weather vehicle. It sat for 2 years because of a move I had to make, and the carburetor has been giving everybody who's looked at it fits. It's better but still misses at cruising speed on the highway.

I'm thinking it would be a better investment to convert the system to EFI away from carbureted to use reliably year-round rather than replacing the carburetor.

I am not a mechanic by any means, fFYI. I do not know what parts I need to make the conversion. Thanks for the help!

Summit racing makes a great EFI unit that self-learns and works really well. check out this video which shows the installation and it has a link to the unit in the description below the video.

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
