Convertible top will not close

Another problem with this convertible top on my car. Everything was working fine, I had opened and closed the convertible top a couple times today, I went to the store earlier and decided to put the top down, when I got home and started closing the top, it would only reach to where the back window part was folded then it would start groaning loudly and not move from that position. I can open it without any problems from that position but it will not close and simply gets stuck. I can push down the rear window convertible top by hand but the latches will not seal into their designated holes. I have attached a video.

That groaning noise sounds like one of the latches is not working, can you point point where the noise is coming from?

The noise is no longer being made when I press the button for some reason, nor will it open all the way, it seems to just get stuck around the brake light area and only lift slightly on the sides.

The groaning noise would come from the rear left area of the car, basically behind the rear left passenger seat.

it sounds like one of the motor or control unit is having an issue. we must find where the noise is coming from. here are diagrams to show you how it works and the components are located so you can find out which one it is.

Is there a specific tool that comes with the car in order to manually close the convertible top? I have read several forums and they seem to mention those tools but my car does not have them and I do not know where to look for them online to buy them. do you?

No it does not have a manual option, the system must work or not. Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can see what's going on? that would be great. You can upload it here with your response.
