I have 275 55 20 tires on my truck listed above 1500, and on the front passenger side it rubs the upper control arm.

Have you always had these wheel/tire setup on this truck?
That size tire should fit on your truck with stock ride height. Only issue would be if the offset of the wheel is too high or if you have worn suspension components.
