Constant code P0325

Can you make me a short video of the engine running at idle? I need to hear the engine running before we can help you fix it. Th idea is if the engine has too much internal noise the knock sensor code will ever go away. You can upload it here with your response.

Thanks for the video, yes, that engine has excessive internal noise. Did your last engine sound like that? It sounds like the timing chains and guides need to be replaced. I would call the dealer who installed the engine and tell them your problem. The code will not clear with the engine making that kind of noise.

I installed the engine, and I installed those timing chains and guides. The timing chains were not brand new, they only had about one thousand miles on them, from the other engine. I knew I was making a mistake when I did that. I guess I will put a new set on it. Hopefully, I haven't busted anything else on it. Could it be an issue where I didn't get the timing set properly also? The chains, tensioners, and guides were tight when I installed them.

If the engine is out of time, it will make excessive noise. So, we need to make sure everything is lined up. I have added instructions and the timing marks for the timing chain in the diagrams below. Let me know how it goes. Here are the correct timing chain diagrams with timing marks and special tools needed. I also included the timing cover R&R, sorry about that. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
