heat tube from the exhaust to the choke assembly

there used to be two tubes, one was vacuum leading to the choke assy and the other led to the air cleaner I think for clean air.there may be a connectionon the air cleaner, been a long time even seeing one of these so I forget lol. we certainly don't have pic of it to send you. if you can send me a pic maybe I can remember then.

ok I looked around on a vintage manual and found where your tubes go i'm sending a pic along. this is correct as long as you have the original AUOTLITE carb on it.these tubes had a clip that held both to them together so they wouldn't rattle. the one tub e is hooked to carb with a rubber hose. if the pic doesn't show then send me your email and i'll send it directly there.

Thanks for your help! I wasn't able to open or enlarge your picture, sorry. I will take some pictures in the next day or two and send them your way. I do remember a rusty clip that held the two metal lines together. The 1st. line went to the choke assembly. But, the 2nd line I can't remember....since it is in the exhaust, it didn't seem right to connect the hose that went to the heater area. I was thinking that hose should be connected to a vacuum source some place. That line with the check valve I think was tied to the fender brace and went to the back area of the engine. Will take a closer look at the base of the carb for a vacuum port.....it didn't make any sense to hook it up to the 2nd. exhaust tube. Hope I'm on the right track....I bought the car new, had much better memory back in those days. @ 74 years of age, I'm lucky anything still works!

Insulated pipe to choke..... Other metal pipe goes to ????? (It just ends, see picture).

Check Valve line to heater/fire wall- red/white pen on end goes to ???? (Heat Pipe end doesn't make any sense)
I think is should go to a vacuum source some place.... just don't know where.

If I remember, the check valve & line were strapped to the under side of the fender brace with I have off in the pic.
The red/white pen end, one might think, would connect to the "un insulated metal tube" from the exhaust....????

ok now there should be two pipes on exhaust manifold one for choke and the other for clean air. where the one arrow is is where the manual says a small pipe should come from that area. the 2 arrows looks like a pipe if you can blow air through that pipe and it comes out where the 3 arrows point to hook it up there. I can't tell you how many different carbs there are but there are quite a few. iam resending the one I have an dhopefully it will come through.
