Good morning.
Once the codes are read, diagnosed and repairs made, the codes are cleared with a scan tool. Clearing codes without checking the system does nothing as the issue needs to be checked and repaired.
Do you have codes set? if you do, what are the codes and what repairs were performed?
You can also remove the negative cable for a minute and replace it. that will make the PCM forget for the code until the issue happens again.
