Hi all, I accidentally shorted out the wire in the heat sensor plug and the fuel pump started running and pumped the manifold full of fuel. I then fixed the computer tracks that was burnt off and now I cannot get spark.

When you say heat sensor plug do you mean the engine coolant temperature sensor? Shorted to ground, sparks? Have you checked all fuses? Here is a guide to help:

Please let us know what happens.

Hi Ken, yes I connected a wire to the earth in the plug that connects to the temperature sensor and it touched the positive on the battery by accident.
Greetings, Donald

Oops, yep it might have taken out the PCM they do not like that. If all fuses are okay I would try a used PCM to see what happens. Please let me know.

Ken, I am also busy with a Fiat Palio. After battling with sensors I got to clear all diagnostic codes but now the idling stays up and down between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm's and I have also got an earth leak on the lights. When I set brake lights on the flickers stop working but light stays on and the tail light goes dim. No fault in the wiring. Where do I look now"
Thank you,
Donald
