The compression on the engine is 0 on cylinders one, two, and four. Cylinder three has only thirty ft lbs. The head gasket and timing chain are new. What could cause this?

Valve timing may have been set wrong, and you may have bent valves. do a wet compression test. this is done with a small amount of oil in the cylinder three or four squirts from an oil can, this will seal the top ring while you are check the compression's. if the compression's do not go up, you will have a valve problem. do this and posy back the readings.

So I did the wet test and no change in the readings. 1-0, 2-0, 3-30, and 4-0. So it is going to end up being bent valves, timing, or a cracked head. I am thinking I should pull the head off and have it pressure tested and machined. That should be the tell all on what is going on if I am correct.

Get the head off and get the valves checked. a cracked head will not give those low readings, a quick check when you get the head off is to place the head valves up with cam removed so all valves are closed, pore some kero or petrol into the combustion chambers and the valves should seal and no fluid leak out. regardless of what you find get the head fully reconditioned then you will have no problems, and we will help you with setting up the valve timing when you are ready to re fit the head.

It turned out being bent valves. Replaced them and it ran great. Thank you.
