Command/Media/ Radio Issue?

My center area between the driver and passenger seats that control the power and the radio and the shifting to sports modes and economy mode are not working most of the time, sometimes the radio and system stays on for a few seconds to minutes but then shuts off and puts me back in the default comfort engine mode "C" and no radio or lights on the radio and temp buttons and Mercedes software and backup camera are not functioning. I have looked at fuses including under hood and it all appears to be fine, and I have disconnected and reconnected the battery without any change, please let me know what this issue could be and if there is a way to repair it myself.
