On the steering column near the ignition there is a green connector with several wires on it, that plugs into the lower part of ignition switch. It is connected to the steering column harness. What is that wire and plug called? And do you have or know where I can buy this wire?

Hello I am Danny,

I have attached a picture to verify if this is the connector you speak of. Let me know. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

That is exactly the wire and plug I mean. Can you get that for me? The other question is, why does the key not always turn in the on position? Really does not turn at all. I was going to replace the ignition key switch, but there are no holes to push the screwdriver through.
The ignition has been changed once before, and I think the mechanic used an after market. I believe he has to remove the steering wheel to remove the ignition. After looking this project up on line, there was a lot easier way to have fixed the problem.
As I was poking around, I broke the connection, that is why I need this.

Thank you for your help.
By the way, does that wire have a name?

John.

Danny L. Last week you set me a picture of the ignition wireing harness. The picture show the very part I need. Do you think you would be able to order this for me, or give me a part number. I tried getting from a dealer, but without a part number, they did not want to bother trying to find what I need.

If you could help me that would be great.

Thank you,

What part do you need the connector? Can you upload a picture of what you are talking about?
