Message on dash. I tried to scan it with my Maxisys, which is the only one that would even go into the system, and it keeps giving me this error that i can't delete, U100888.

So, the LIN bus is a dedicated single wire communication network that allows two different modules to send messages back and forth with no chance of other modules corrupting the message.

This means we need to locate this wire and test it for a short or open.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-voltmeter

This indicates that this issue is on LIN 1 which is a wire between the front SAM and the active lane keeping assistance button.

I am attaching the complete wiring diagram for this circuit as well.

We need to make sure there are no opens from the button group to the SAM. Looks like the clock is part of this LIN as well so we need to make sure that it is okay. Basically, you just access each connector and check the resistance from end to end. So, from the button group to the SAM connector. Then the button group to the clock (I am sure that is not the issue, but we need to check it). Then the clock to the SAM.

Lastly, if this is the only code and it all checks out then we could have an issue with the actuation of the radiator shutters. It appears that it is an output of the SAM that could be causing this code if the shutters have an issue. Does you scan tool allow you to operate the actuators? If so, can you try and operate them using it?

I doubt this is the issue but there is a note about that. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

Hi divides, did you manage to solve this issue? I have the same error code but do not have the message on the dash. All my steering wheel buttons have stopped working, horn and paddle shifters too! I think it is to do with someone reversing into my front end a few days ago. If you could assist on how to resolve it would be much appreciated! Thanks, Tom.

This sounds like the clock or spiral wire is no good which is common. This generic guide can help you see what you are in for when you're doing the job and I have added instructions for your car in the diagrams below.
