Not sure what is causing it but I have replaced the two coil packets several times every time the one on the right heats up to the point of melting. I have tried everything. Okay thanks, yes it is getting too much voltage just cannot figure out why.

Hello,

I would start by checking the alternator for charging with AC voltage. You can do this with a volt meter at the battery switched to AC voltage, it should have none with the car running.

I have seen this as a result of a failing ECM, It triggers the coil but without the proper voltage regulation.Makes the coil act like an arc welder.
