Code p1259 non v-tech engine

I need assistance in figuring what the problem is with my car. Has code p1259 low oil pressure. The car is a non v-tech.

Has this had an engine swap or anything else? The reason I ask, is this code is specific to the VTEC system. Or has the PCM been replaced?

Clearly the code and the non v-tec engine do not add up. In fact when you select the non vtec engine, they don't even populate the code as it is not a valid code for that engine. So if you truly a non vtec engine and this code then we have something swapped. Thanks

I have no Idea, my daughter purchased it and this was one of the codes. Guess I will be doing a computer swap.

This car does not have the wiring for a v-tech, so the computer was probably replaced.

Yeah. Based on this information, I would have to agree. I don't see another reason for getting this code. I also, don't see a difference between the PCMs so I guess it is possible to swap a VTEC for non VTEC PCM. I have never compared them so I am not sure the plugs are the same but it would make sense that they are as the software would be the only thing that needs to be different.
