code P0720 AT vehicle speed sensor?

Hello,

I purchased a 2008 Nissan Rogue and its has the following engine code. Please see the attached images and let me know if you think the transmission is bad or might it need the speed sensor that is on the top of the transmission.

Do you have an ABS warning light on as well? if so these system share data so you might have an wheel speed sensor causing this issue. Also, how was the transmission working before this warning light came on? I have seen the transmission go out and cause this code that is why I am asking.

The P0720 code means the TCM (Transmission Control Module) is not receiving a valid signal from the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) / Output Speed Sensor.

I would check the transmission fluid to see if it is burnt or low, if everything looks okay let try replacing the sensor and then clear the codes. Here is the location so you can check it out. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Thank you for responding quickly. I will replace the speed sensor in a few days and will let you know the end result. Also the abs light is not on.

Sounds good, this should fix it, be sure to clear the codes after the repair is done.
