Good afternoon,

The 420 is a catalytic converter code. The converter needs to be replaced. It has nothing to do with the current issue.

You need spark and fuel to run.

The fuel pressure needs to be checked.

Also have a fuel injector number three that stays open. could this be a factor?

How did you determine that? It will not cause the overheat but could be the reason the catalytic converter failed.

Went to AutoZone and had the check engine light check and that is what I was told.

Check engine light does not tell you anything but an area of failure, not the part.

203 is for the circuit indicating a wiring issue.
