I get this code now and the truck runs rough feels like a misfire. The wiring was fixed so it’s not that. The injector number one had a damaged o-ring we replaced that and also cleaned all the injectors and put back. Still same code same problem and running rough. What else can it be? Should we replace the injector itself or change plugs and see what happens?

Hello,

Direct Trouble Code (DTC) p0301 is a code for a misfire in cylinder number one of your vehicle's engine. The first thing I would do would be to change the spark plugs in the engine.I have included in the diagrams down below the proper gap to set your spark plugs for. I have also included a link below for you to go to below:

Please go through this guide and get back to us with how everything turns out.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for your reply, which sounds like it would make sense if that were the code. except it never threw a p0301. It’s p0201. Which I understand as an injector circuit malfunction in cylinder one. We are messing with it trying to clean it and see if it will help but so far it keep coming back the same. Going to be changing the plugs regardless so thank you for the helpful links.

Hello again,

I'm sorry about that. When you said misfire in cylinder one I automatically went to DTC P0301, which is misfire in number one cylinder. I have included the factory diagnostic troubleshooting guide for DTC P0201 in the diagrams down below. Please go through this guide and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex
