I had some codes for the P0011 and P0014 for intake camshaft position system performance bank 1 and exhaust camshaft position system performance. I replaced the sensors and VVT Solenoid for exhaust and intake. After changing them and clearing codes, I drove a bit and my P0101 for MAF sensor range/performance came on. I just replaced the MAF sensor last night and it's feeling worse than it did with the old one. It feels like it's hesitating while idling and seems like it wants to shut off. What could be the issue now?

It sounds like you have a defective MAF sensor, I would try another one. Here is more information on the code as well.

Error code P0101 in a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu typically indicates an issue with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or the circuitry associated with it. The MAF sensor measures the amount of air entering the engine and provides this information to the Engine Control Module (ECM) for proper fuel delivery and combustion.

Here are some steps you can take to diagnose and potentially address the P0101 code:

Check MAF Sensor Connections: Make sure the electrical connections to the MAF sensor are secure and free from corrosion. A loose or corroded connection could lead to inaccurate readings.

Inspect the MAF Sensor: The sensor itself could be dirty or faulty, affecting its ability to accurately measure airflow. If the sensor is dirty, you can clean it using a specialized MAF sensor cleaner. However, be careful not to damage the delicate components inside. If cleaning doesn't resolve the issue, the sensor might need to be replaced.

Check for Vacuum Leaks: Vacuum leaks can affect the MAF sensor's readings. Inspect the vacuum hoses and connections for any signs of damage or leaks.

Inspect Air Intake System: Ensure that the air intake system is properly sealed and that there are no leaks between the MAF sensor and the throttle body. Unmetered air entering the system can lead to inaccurate readings.

Scan for Additional Codes: Sometimes, other codes might be present alongside P0101 that could provide further clues about the issue.

Reset the Code: After addressing potential causes, reset the error code using an OBD-II scanner. If the issue has been successfully resolved, the Check Engine Light should turn off. However, if the problem persists, the code may return.
