Code B1322, airbag light?

Actually, just shut off! Does it make sense that it was milage dependent? Why would it have gone on in the first place?

The code, although related to the airbag light, is actually specific to the weight classification sensor on the passenger seat. The system is designed to recognize when a person is seated. In this case, I suspect the code simply will need to be cleared. However, I attached directions below for diagnostics if you want and how to reprogram the WCS module.

If you look at pic 1, it shows the sensor in question. The remaining pictures are the diagnostics for the code. Note that it is indicated that regardless of the severity of the accident, this code may be set.

Take a look and let me know if you are comfortable performing the diagnostics.

I never took care of this. 5 months later code B1322 is still on. How do I diagnose and repair it?

No. I'm totally lost. Not sure what the steps listed here are. Do you think it's a bad sensor or it probably just needs to be reset? If I go to a mechanic how much do you think I'm looking at to fix it?

I would like to say it is a simple part replacement, but I don't know without testing. As far as a shop, most have a set price for diagnostics. If they find additional time is needed, they should get approval from the customer.

If you have someone you trust, tell them you have an airbag light on, a code, and want to know what they charge to diagnose the issue. See what they tell you.
