code 42

i am getting a code 42. i replaced the distributor, knock sensor, and ECM. is there away to test the ESC module?

You can take it to an auto parts store they have a special machine that can check it for you.

I would start by replacing the ignition coil that is usually what that code means. I would check the module anyway.

Okay I will change the coil. got one here at home on Monday when i am off .

i think i found the problem the wires from the distributor to the coil are not even connected will replace on payday.

ok made coil wires. still ran like crap. put a new coil that i had still runs like crap anything else i need to test.

Please pull the spark plugs and check there condition. If you can snap a picture of them and upload it here. If they are okay I would suspect an ignition module.
