Clutch pedal squeaking

My car is just over 2 years old. I have noticed a squeaking noise coming from my clutch pedal every time the pedal is pressed down and released. As the noise is annoying. I brought it to our Hyundai garage, whereby they sprayed the "mechanism(s)" with WD40 and the noise disappeared for a while, but came back again. I have uploaded an audio recording of the noise.

Can you advise which mechanism should be lubricated so I may do it myself?

Hi,

They most likely sprayed where the pedal mounts at the top. It is basically a hinge. See the attached pic. Try spraying it in the area of the circle. Also, they should be able to replace the bushing. Isn't the vehicle still under manufacturer's warranty?

Hi,

Thank you for the quick reply. My car is indeed under warranty, but I am going back and forth with them regarding this issue whereby I am not getting a permanent fix. May I post a link to a temporary file hosting whereby I may upload the audio file, since the file is failing to upload?

Hi,

I don't see why that would be a problem. Listen, if you can't get satisfaction at the dealership, you should contact a zone representative. There should be a list of numbers in the rear of the owner's manual. In most cases, someone there will make sure the problem is resolved.
