Hello there! My daughter has a 2017 Cruze and she tells me the clutch is acting weird. Sometimes after a shift, it won't come all the way back up. She pulls it up with her foot. Other times the pedal will begin to drop down a bit before it has been pressed down. The car has never dropped itself out of gear she says, nor does the clutch slip.
I have not driven the car yet myself. I have never heard of such a thing, but I am worried for her. What could be causing such a thing besides a ghost perhaps?
Your thoughts before I take it in to the shop which I will do ASAP!

Being that is a hydraulic system I would first look at the clutch pedal pivot and maybe apply some dry lube to it to be sure it isn't hanging up, next I would look at the return spring that is on top of the pedal assembly, they can break and then it only has the clutch fluid to push it up. I suspect it's a broken spring. However if not then it becomes either the master or slave cylinders or clutch wear. Those are mostly a replace it to fix it item.
