Clutch noise

Are you able to get a recording of this? Is this noise constant or is it a momentary noise?

I suspect that you are thinking it is not a bearing noise by telling us that it is not a metal on metal? If that is the case, we will need to hear it. However, I think I know what you are saying as more of a hydraulic noise and this can still be a throw out bearing.

Basically when you press the clutch in you are putting pressure on the throw out bearing and that can cause many different noises when it is failing.

Does the clutch work properly? Any shifting issues or grinding issues?

Throw out bearing? Clutch works fine, it's just really loud, louder than video when you stand outside of truck. Do you recognize the sound? I've heard bearings go out, I don't know just sounds weird to me. It's been doing it for about 2 years.

Okay. That is a good video. This noise is most likely the throw out bearing. You are correct, it does not have the normal sound of a bearing but when you press the pedal just past the engagement point and it is making noise like you are, that is the throw out bearing putting pressure on the pressure plate.

If the clutch operates properly then I would just let this be until the clutch starts having an issue and then address it by replacing the clutch system.

I don't know how long or miles those last, don't remember exactly but it was 3 or 4 years ago. it was replaced only because my bell housing cracked in several places and I had to replace it.
I thought I might as well replace clutch and slave cylinder and everything since I had it apart, I had to literally chip the pilot bearing out,it was fused in there. I had tried every supposedly "easy" way there was to do it, none of them would work, my old throw out wasn't making a sound and it had been in there a few years, did it on a dirt driveway. at least now I have a cement driveway but feels like it's way to early to be doing it again, can't put it off to long gonna be winter. the noise is really annoying. I guess I was hoping maybe the slave cylinder sounded like that when one wears out and I could get away with a lot easier job. I really appreciate your input I needed professional advice and I'm grateful. Thanks again.

You are welcome. I understand not wanting to risk it going in the winter but that does sound a little early. Normally a clutch can last a while but I guess we are at the mercy of the quality of parts we replaced it with.
