As you can guess with the title it's about my Picasso. I'm hoping someone out there can give me a little guidance.

My clutch is on the way out the biting point is about 15mm from the top (as you depress the clutch), iv stalled it a few times trying to pull off.

As you can guess you'll know what question I'm going to ask next.

How hard is this to do at home?

I've carried out quite a lot of home repairs and every thing went well
- electrical and mechanical -
I just hoping there may be a guide out there some where I can look over or watch before I undertake this task.

I know there is a vast range of professionals out there to choose from and believe me I would but I can just about afford a new clutch kit, and haven a family makes it very hard to be without a car especially with all the little ones appointments.

So as you can guess I'm on my hands and knees just asking for a little bit of help and advice.

Thanks

Hello,

You can do it at home, but you will need four jack stands and a engine cradle which you can rent from the auto parts store. When you do the job make sure you resurface the flywheel. here is a guide on how to do the clutch and a video that shows the job being done on a similar car:

and

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
