Clutch catches even when the pedal pushed all the way on the floor?

When shifting into reverse or first (sometimes second), the clutch catches even when the peddle is fully engaged. Is there a clutch cable that could be tightened? Someone told me this is a hydraulic clutch and that the fluid may be low, but I cannot find a well under the hood where clutch fluid may be.

Hi,

The clutch master cylinder is located under the hood on the firewall. It is directly in front of where the clutch pedal push rod goes through the firewall from inside the vehicle to the engine compartment.

The reservoir for the clutch is the brake master cylinder. If you look at pic 1 below, it shows the clutch master cylinder. I highlighted the hose out from the master cylinder. Pic 2 shows a continuation of the hose and where it mounts on the brake master cylinder reservoir. If it is low, the brakes may become affected.

Take a look and let me know if this helps you locate it. Additionally, make sure the brake fluid is full.
